Goal-crazy Town inflicted Hull City's biggest ever defeat at the KC Stadium, the Blues coming from behind to win 5-2. Dean Windass put the Tigers in front but Town struck back through Franny Jeffers, Jaime Peters, Alan Lee, Jason De Vos and Danny Haynes before Windass netted a late penalty.

Former Town loanee Danny Karbassiyoon has been forced to retire at the age of 22. The American made four starts and two sub appearances during a four-month spell with the Blues from late 2004 into 2005.

A report yesterday afternoon has prompted speculation that Town keeper Lewis Price is carrying an injury. Wales have called Burnley glovesman Danny Coyne into their squad for the friendly with Northern Ireland next week, reportedly as cover for the Town stopper.
